7 Music Artistes You Should Watch Out For In 2018
The music industry in Nigeria is fast growing and daily, there is an influx of artistes who strive to carve a niche for themselves in the artistry. (Yes, the struggle is real)
However, we have noticed quite a few who have kept on at music, attending auditions, reality shows or dishing out hit singles on a daily basis all in a bid to be better.
We know that in 2018, they will do better and give their fans more. Below are some of the artistes we think you should look out for in 2018.
1. Immaculate Edache
The pretty singer, songwriter and actress, who rose to fame in 2013, as one of the finalists on Season 6 of MTN Project Fame West Africa is known for her unique vocal prowess. As the name implies, Immaculate Dache translates to the ‘Purest Voice of the People’, which is the state of her new sound.
She has hit singles like ‘Osanle, Gogo Baby’ to her credit and we are eager to see just what she has in store for her fans this year.
2. Arese Emokpae
Winner of the maiden edition of music reality show, The Voice Nigeria, Agharese Emokpae, popularly known as A’rese is a vocal powerhouse bound to do exploits this year.

Her single ‘Stand’ has also taken over the airwaves particularly after she released the video.
5. Adokiye Kyrian
Adokiye Ngozi Kyrian popularly known as Adokiye is a Nigerian singer, actoress, an ambassador and a song writer. She’s a graduate of Caritas University, from department of Architecture, and was born in Oguta L.G.A Imo state and Ogu Bolo in Okrika L.G.A. of Rivers State.
Adokiye was signed to Aeon Entertainments and is United Nations Peace Ambassador. She started her career at a very young age and once featured Olamide in one of her singles back in 2012. Her single ‘Jombolo’ is currently making waves in Nigeria and we know it can only get better.
6. Okiemute Ighorodje
Okiemute is a 25 year old singer who was born in Delta State. She is graduate of Linguistic and Communication which she got from the University of Portharcourt, Nigeria. The young lady was the winner of the Season 9 MTN Project Fame West Africa. She has songs like Iya Mi, Matter of Time and Good Loving to her credit and we know this year is going to have her releasing more.
7. Temmi Ovwasa
Temmie Ovwasa nicknamed BNL Princess was born on the 29th of November 1996 in Ilorin. She started singing in her family’s local church choir and wrote her first song at 8 years old. She was signed and announces to YBNL Nation on May 1st,2016.
The young lady claims to have written over 300 songs with singles like: Afefe, Bamidele, Somebody baby, Jabole and many more to her name.
